Tap Knockout

Tap Knockout

$19.99

One reusable silicone tap knockout will create a 25mm hole which will work with most standard taps. It will also create a 57mm pocket that is 25mm beneath the surface to fasten hardware in. This will accept most taps and spouts.

Must be used with 25mm substrate and our standard 57mm forms.

If using EuroForms, please use the EuroForm Tap Knockout.

EuroForm Tap Knockout:
Reusable silicone tap knockout that will create a 31mm hole which will work with most standard taps. The EuroForm tap knock is meant to be used with our thinner EuroForm only and 6mm tile board substrate. Unlike our standard knockout, it will not create a pocket beneath the concrete as it is not needed with this thinner benchtop size.

IMPORTANT: Some of the newer taps require larger than 25mm hole. Please check your tap. If you need a larger hole, you can wrap the top of the knockout in electrical tape to increase the diameter.

  • To install, use a 50mm hole saw. Push the knockout up through the hole from the underside of the tile cement board until the 3rd ring hits the bottom of the cement board. Check to make sure the top of the knockout is flush with the top of the forms. For most applications, we normally like to split the difference between the sink opening and the back wall so that you have the most concrete possible around the tap. If you have a deeper countertop or smaller sink, please check to make sure that the tap is lined up properly over the sink.
